Up to $4.2 billion will go towards treating, compensating sickened Ground Zero responders under the provisions of a newly passed 9/11 health care bill.

The Senate passed a health care bill Dec. 22, 2010, which will provide Ground Zero responders with up to $4.2 billion toward the treatment of illnesses acquired in the aftermath of the 9/11 World Trade Center terrorist attacks. The new 9/11 legislation incites the reopening of a fund that will “cover wage and other economic losses of sickened workers and nearby residents.” This noteworthy bill will provide those who risked their lives for our country the compensation they truly deserve.
