An upstate New York contractor was recently convicted of “violating the Clear Air Act and exposing workers and the public to cancer-causing asbestos.” A Rochester jury reached their verdict on Nov. 12, with prosecutors from the U.S. Department of Justice contending that asbestos, which is known to cause incurable mesothelioma cancer, “fell like snow” on employees, who were not wearing protective attire at the time.
