FBI Finds Explosive Device on Washington MLK Day Parade Route

The FBI’s explosive unit disposed of an explosive device discovered inside of a backpack along a Martin Luther King Jr. parade route in downtown Spokane, Washington. According to Frank Harrell, the special agent in charge of the Spokane FBI office, “It definitely was, by all early analysis, a viable device that was very lethal and had the potential to inflict multiple casualties.” The FBI has offered a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved.
